You are safe to skip.
Spoiler
When talking to Baine, you can safely "politely decline" and skip the funeral which leads to quest complete. No lighting any pyres necessary.

@sienko: There are several reasons why one might want to skip. For one, you might have completed this on a different char already and are thankful for the skip. The real reason ( I assume ) why this was implemented though, is likely to not cause post traumatic stress to players who have attended a funeral of a loved one recently (or longer time ago) and are uncomfortable going through this procedure in the game. I'm thankful the devs implemented this skip.

Description

The Shikaar lost two of their own during the battle. All of Tomul's reinforcements... they volunteered to help, of their own will. I... have much to consider. After speaking with the Shikaar, we decided to honor our dead together. We have blended our funerary rites into one ceremony for this occasion. We would be honored if you would stay and participate.
