Depending on how you approach the pool, you may miss the berry drop off location (it's hiding behind Gniden the giant) 57.8, 40.8 Then pick up the full cask right behind the berry cache bring it to the cave in the pool.
This is a short, multi-stage quest.
1) Upon picking up the barrel, you then have to go and pick the kelpberries, which are growing in the ruins nearby.
2) Once picked, you take them to a nearby giant who is pounding them into juice within a shell, right next to the shore of the small pond/lake.
3) You pick up the crushed juice in the barrel and jump into the pond, swimming through the underwater tunnel into the cave to give the item to the final NPC.
