Description

Truun needs wood, huh? Normally I could provide, but not today.

With constant elf attacks, gathering lumber is dangerous work. The peons I have left are reluctant to venture into the woods.

You want wood? Then you go convince the peons to work.

And keep them safe! I cannot afford to lose any more!

When you have finished talking to Gorka find yourself a Demoralized Peon to talk to. If they agree to chop wood for you follow them and stick close by. They will be attacked by Ashenvale Stalkers (Nightelves). Your job is to kill them before they kill your poor frightened peons. If you are successfull your peon will provide you with a bundle of "Freshly Cut Wood". It will be lying on the ground next to your peon. Your peon will then despawn and you will have to find another one to do it all over again.
When you have your five bundles of wood, hand the quest in to Gorka.

Note that as of the current patch if you are mounted you will not receive the wood.

If you attack the Stalker before it attacks the Peon, it will not drop wood.

Where this quest fits

Before this quest

Taken from the storyline's own step order.

Got Lumber?Ashenvale · Level 7-30
Kadrak has just received fresh orders for our troops. I hear we're to begin offensive strikes into Ashenvale! I have far too few supplies to support an assault, and my shipment from Orgrimmar has yet to arrive. I am forced to improvise, and could use your help, <class>.

After this quest

Taken from the storyline's own step order.

Needs a Little OilAshenvale · Level 7-30
You have your wood, but the encroaching elves have made it impossible for your kodo to return to Mor'shan Ramparts. I've dispatched a runner to Splintertree to summon aid. It shouldn't take long for their forces to clear the way. In the meantime, I would ask that you do us a service.
