Should finish off your reputation with Sho once you get it (mid-good friend).

This quest became available to me when my rep level with [npc=58708] was at (5/6) Good Friends and my rep went from 4020/8400 to 5010/8400 after handing in a [item=79267] which is worth 990 rep with [npc=58708] (900 rep +10% guild level rep bonus)
Completing this quest at level 90 rewarded me with 19g84s50c and 4125 rep with [npc=58708] which is enough to reach Best Friends (6/6) with [npc=58708]
To assist you all with [object=210565] collecting, [faction=1272] reputation grinding and each farmer's reputation I made an AddOn which I put up at Curse.
It has almost all the Dark Soil locations plus all the help you need for finding each farmer, the correct gift to give, a few map markers for getting the questing underway and so on. Plus... recently I added Dog! Why? Well... because we all love Dog!

Description
During my routine patrol of the mountains this morning, I spotted a huge white bird diving down to the farmlands. It lifted an entire yak in its talons and disappeared among the cliffs. Today a yak, tomorrow a farmhand! We must eliminate this bird before it chooses its next victim.
