Note that you can only carry ONE drop of oil/ooze/goo at a time. You won't be able to pick up another and proceed until you bring the one you're carrying to the pool.
To complete Mixing A Mess you have to bring [spell=306713], [spell=306719] or [spell=306722]
to the [npc=157226] three times.
The items will spawn after you kill the corresponding enemy:
[spell=306713] - [npc=167923], [npc=167948] north of Plague Watch flight point.
[spell=306719] - [npc=165015], [npc=171142] south-east of Plague Watch flight point.
[spell=306722] - [npc=165027], [npc=166438] south of Plague Watch flight point./way 58.43 74.31 Pool of Mixed Monstrosities

The item is NOT a drop. It is an "slime" that SPAWNS after killing a mob.
A lot of people seem to be confused as to how to get the items. I myself was also confused.

Pins are the quest’s own POI points from the current retail client, projected onto the in-game zone map. The game marks one blob as the quest’s turn-in; the rest are objective areas. Points that fall outside a map’s window are dropped rather than guessed at.
Objective areaIn-game waypoint: /way #1536 59.4 71.8
/way #1536 59.4 71.8Map coordinates of the pins above. An area the client draws as a shape is given by the centre of its points.
Quests whose map markers the client places closest to this one on Maldraxxus, nearest first. Distances are straight lines between the markers.
Flight points closest to the quest’s first objective area marker on Maldraxxus:
Straight-line distances in yards between the quest’s own map markers (QuestPOI) and the client’s flight-point positions (TaxiNodes); flight paths and terrain are not modelled.
First seen in build 12.0.7.68887 (Midnight patch 12.0.7, the oldest build in our datamine).
Steps, storylines and map placement from the client’s QuestLine, prerequisite and QuestPOI data; neighbouring quest text is Blizzard’s own (quest API), shortened to its opening sentences.
Completing this quest counts toward this achievement.
