This quest can bug out, where when you try to click the bobber to reel it in, it just auto recasts.

I found using the "interact with" key (for me it is bound to my "F" key) instead of clicking the bobber, lets me reel in my catches with no problem. Quest item and Fish included.

Game Menu (escape) > Options > Controls(Gameplay) > Enable Interact Key (select) > Interact With Target (should show which key it is bound to, if not, bind it to a convenient key)

If you have not seen this quest, make sure of the following:

1. Don't do any other zone fishing dailies for the current week
2. Check to see that the Grimtusk fishing area is up/available - they change every week
3. You have to be Dragon Flight fishing 50
4. Go to Three-Falls Lookout in The Azure Span and pick up the purple glowing Pickaxe Blade located at 18.9, 24.3 near some barrels
5. Head to Iskaara and visit Tavio to craft an Iskaaran Ice Axe
6. Now you will be able to ice Fish (from Ice Cracks) and free the tangled fishing net to help with the achievement Taking From Nature

There may be an issue with this quest on at least some servers (Illidan in my case, have reproduced it across multiple characters, and others have reported it as well).

Accepting the quest may make it impossible to fish from ice holes. (Attempting to loot the line just recasts the line, no loot). Dropping the quest restores expected ice fishing behaviour.

If you're seeing this, you're (probably) not crazy! Noticed and reported to support on May 10 2023.
