New Tools, New Heights

New Tools, New Heights is a quest for level 90 in Voidstorm, added in Midnight. It rewards 27,400 experience and money.

Description

There is another sort of Void power I know you will be interested in. An Ascendant Voidcore is difficult to come by, and even more difficult to work. With the Voidforge completed, I can now weave a magnificent Nilhammer capable of such things. Of course, I will need you to help with the materials. It will take time.

Take this chunk of Hungering Oblivium. It can devour moments of extreme violence to be catalyzed to new heights of power, but I don't think you'll have any trouble managing that, will you?

Yeah it means instead of having the turbo boost at the end of the season like normal, they can just trick you into having to repeat crappy content for weeks on end to get to the same point. More people logging in each week to do it gives them good activity numbers to show their shareholders!

Where this quest fits

Before this quest

Taken from the quest's prerequisites.

  • Voidforge ReforgedVoidstorm · Level 90

As ever, your persistence is admirable. It's time to put the finishing touches on the Voidforge, and then the real work can begin.

After this quest

Taken from a quest that requires this one.

  • Feeding the NilhammerVoidstorm · Level 90

Our nascent Nilhammer coalesces! But I will need to weave the Void energies from more Hungering Oblivium into it before it can fully take form. Luckily I have prepared another piece for you to catalyze. Extreme violence, remember?

Other storylines on the Voidstorm map

Steps, storylines and map placement from the client’s QuestLine, prerequisite and QuestPOI data; neighbouring quest text is Blizzard’s own (quest API), shortened to its opening sentences.

Where to go

Pins are the quest’s own POI points from the current retail client, projected onto the in-game zone map. The game marks one blob as the quest’s turn-in; the rest are objective areas. Points that fall outside a map’s window are dropped rather than guessed at.
