Secretest Fish

Okay, so I just turned this quest in. It is given by the [item=158932] which dropped for me out of a [npc=151583] bubble while using the [item=167698] in Bastion*. (My SL fishing level was 89, which may or may not be important since there have been many people trying to loot it since and some have had no luck even after hours of farming.**) It was NOT given as a quest reward when I turned in this quest, which is what wowhead currently shows. Having the fish is what began the quest.

I was given x20 [item=161475]***, and when using one it spawned a new type of [npc=175397]. When I clicked it, I was turned into yet a different [npc=175372] from the buff [spell=345056].

I was still able to loot the regular secret fish that continued to spawn, as I was still wearing the goggles. I looted three while transformed as a fish, but didn't do too much other than float around and see if I could see hidden fishing pools or anything like that.

Still not entirely certain what the lure is meant for, since the timer for being a fish doesn't seem very long and a lot of character abilities will break the appearance early anyhow. It says in the tooltip for the Lures that they are visible to other wearers of goggles and to party members, so it seems like it has something to do with being in a group.

I will update when/if I get better info.

*Edit: [item=158932] is confirmed by others in the WoW Secret Finding Discord to drop in Oribos, Revendreth and Ardenweald, so at the very least it is likely that it drops in all SL zones. The only possible known exception to this could be the [zone=13367], which is reported to be dropping BFA fish out of the secret fish bubbles.

**Edit: As of 12/4, the average number of [npc=151583] looted before the [item=158932] is found has been reported as being anywhere from 66th bubble to 950th bubble.

UPDATE: While using the Secret Fish Lure tonight, I was able to apply additional visuals to the lure. I first applied a [item=181623] to myself, and then used the lure, which added a glow onto my fish appearance. Then I went to a slime cat, used the Secret Fish Lure again, gained the fish appearance, and then pet the slime cat to successfully add another visual layer with the [spell=338183] debuff. This does not work if you pet the cat first, the lure has to be used before petting the cat. I have added screenshots to the [item=161475] page.

After 610 [item=177256] the [item=158932] finally popped out of the bubble.

Got it in Oribos while wearing my [item=133755] (fishing skill was at 120).
Searched in Bastion for two hours, went to Sinfall for another hour and a half, finally moved over to Oribos to empty my bags and got it there.

I got this in the Ring of Fates after 26 Floundering Soul, 3 Lost Sole, and 2 pieces of junk. Took about 25 minutes.

My Shadowlands fishing is untrained, +15 (for a total of 16) as I have the Angler.

I just rejoined the game and have no interest in questing all the way to the Mechagon quest (as Horde) so every time I visit Danielle it's a ride in the crow's nest from Stormwind then a flight from one side of Mechagon to the other ....
