These are supposed to be like the audio files from The Forbidden Reach. The Humming Relic is the only one that has an audio file that still works somewhat. After listening several times I hear:

*Text - Zzzt...I can't...zzt...experiment loose... Broke...zzzzzzt...my promise...
*Likely audio - I can't let my experiment loose upon the world, I broke my promise to the Aspects.

After the... brainwashing-like dialog from The Forbidden Reach, this file seems more like a journal entry for his own records. I believe he is referring to to the Dracthyr and possibly the moment the 'Titan power glove' broke and he finally accepted the Old Gods. This memo would be him trying to note events that lead to him trapping them and reaching for a new source of power with N'Zoth... or so we are lead to believe. I'm not entirely sold on that and feel there is another reason we are given a corrupt version of this record. I would be very interested in a bronze dragon turning back the clock on these to get the full library of audio clips.

That is every comment on this page.

Description

Look closely, {name}. You see this odd chunk of metal in the deepflayer muck? I have felt my head swimming since we arrived in these caverns. I thought it was just the ceaseless prattling of our whelp, Wrathion, but this object here may prove otherwise. I will continue my efforts to unlock this relic's secrets. Seek out similar pieces in the nearby caves. A dark theory is emerging, though we will need more information before I am willing to confirm it.

Where to go

Pins are the quest’s own POI points from the current retail client, projected onto the in-game zone map. The game marks one blob as the quest’s turn-in; the rest are objective areas. Points that fall outside a map’s window are dropped rather than guessed at.

Before this quest

Taken from the storyline's own step order.

  • Brother's KeeperZaralek Cavern · Level 36-80

By my scales, I needed that win! That blasted Incarnate swatting us like flies did a number on my ego, and I assume Sabellian feels no different. As infuriating as I find his lack of humor, groaning voice, and ugly shoes... I would ask that you check in on him.

After this quest

Taken from the storyline's own step order.

  • The Earth Gives WayZaralek Cavern · Level 36-80

You may stay here to see what comes of this relic, or meet me afterward in Loamm. That is Honeypelt's home, which she offered us respite at while you were still in the cave. I would only ask that you check on Wrathion. He may be a ceaselessly buzzing pest, yes, but...
