Kill Congealed Oils around the area and then use the Grease Trap you were given to collect the grease!
This quest is bugged for me in 8.2. When I get to 8-10 collected, placing the grease traps clearly absorb the grease from nearby slime corpses, but I stop getting credit for them, and I can't reach 12/12.

Description
Kerchunk said you guys was working on getting that mechaspider running again. Well I'm not gonna let you have all the fun! That rusty old thing's gonna need a lot of grease to get moving again. So I jury-rigged a special Grease Trap to help you gather grease from the slimes nearby.
