TheWoWDBAfter you activate the projector, get OFF of the platform. If you stay on the platform you'll get repeatedly stunned and damaged. Stand a little ways off the platform, and fight the adds there.
When an add dies, it leaves behind a little lightning ball with a flashing blue arrow-chevron over it. Run up to it and click on it. It will fly up to the boss and damage it. You may need to walk onto the platform to reach the lightning ball, so if you do, make sure to run back off the platform after you've clicked on each lightning ball.
You should only need to click on 2 (or maybe 3) lightning balls before the boss gives up and flies off. This will give you credit for completing the encounter.

Is it me or is this either bugged or ridiculously hard to complete. I'm a well geared Pala and I'm getting my arse handed to me.
Found the answer:
don't attack the boss, when the adds come they leave a blue sparkle that you can click on, click on these and they damage the boss.

Description
My people are once again safe... for now. King Mechagon won't stop sending his armies at us as long as he does not fear us. We must send him a message. Climb to the top of the ramparts, and hack one of my father's projectors to proudly shine the banner of the Rustbolt Resistance big enough for the whole island to see. I'm sure that'll attract the attention of my father, King Mechagon.
