Shape a New Legend

Shape a New Legend is a quest for level 10-90. It is step 3 of 3 in the Infinite Power Hypothesis storyline, the final step. The quest's turn-in marker is in Broken Isles at 45.7, 68.5. It rewards 9,500 experience and money. Completing it counts toward 1 achievement.

Description

It is clear now that the person is at least as important as the artifact they wield.

Perhaps it is the quality of mortality that diminishes the importance of the individual through the lens of history. While an artifact is eternal, the people wielding them are fleeting.

But no flame that burns brightly burns forever.

I want you to burn as brightly as you can. Empower your artifact and carve a new legend into the world for all to see.

I don't understand how to fill this bar. It says here " Amass Infinite Power (1000)" and I have over 30k now, and have gotten well over 1000 since picking up the quest, yet the bar is sitting at 60% now. What gives?
Edit: This should say something like: "Amass Infinite Power (100,000)" rather than just 1000. In my experience, you need ~1000 IP for each 1%.

I am stuck at 87% and can't figure out how to amass more power....

While artifacts are key, we must not dismiss the power of the individuals who wield them. Continue in your fight against the Legion. Grow strong, stronger than you ever thought possible. Then we will compare the might of your legend against that of the artifact.
