Shutting Down Manaforge Ara (ID 10365)

Shutting Down Manaforge Ara is a group quest for level 25-30 in Netherstorm. It is step 28 of 103 in the Netherstorm storyline. The quest's turn-in marker is in Netherstorm at 32.0, 64.1. It rewards 2 reward items, 1 reputation reward, 4,100 experience and money.

Description

You've done much better than any of us anticipated. Manaforge Ara is the last of Kael's working manaforges. You'll find it northwest of here, though you're likely to have to do some circumnavigating to get to it. We want you to shut it down.

The last access crystal is in the possession of Overseer Azarad. This is Kael's very last source of energy as far as we know, so expect heavy opposition. I'd bring a couple of friends along if I were you.

Hmm... Azarad. What an odd name for a sin'dorei.

Note that the tanking necklace has the exact same stats as the tanking necklace obtained from the Hound-Master quest in Blades Edge.

However, http://www.wowhead.com/?item=31696 (Natasha's Battle Chain) vendors for 3G +, and this only vendors for 70 S.

Every little bit helps when saving up for the Epic Flyer.

Where this quest fits

Before this quest

Taken from the storyline's own step order.

  • Shutting Down Manaforge DuroNetherstorm · Level 25-30

So Manaforge Duro is under attack and Sunfury forces have lost control? What a dilemma! If Duro goes down, then Tempest Keep goes down. Only drawback is... if Tempest Keep is destroyed, the explosion will probably take what little remains of this forsaken land with it. Dead Kael'thas is good.

After this quest

Taken from the storyline's own step order.

  • Kick Them While They're DownNetherstorm · Level 25-30

The news you've discovered is fortunate, <name>. Not only do you get to waltz into Manaforge Duro unfettered, this also presents a great opportunity to deal a blow to Kael's army. Use the mana creature assault to your advantage and pick off any Sunfury stragglers you run into.
