There is a bug.

I had to do the quest twice as after the first time at stage 4 (The Banshee Queen) there were no quest indicators I could see and I was running around looking for any quest areas. When I rode away too far a winged creature picked me up and returned me to some central area. Remember flying is disabled during the quest only for NPCs you might ride that can fly. You are supposed to confront Slyvanus.

I logged out came back and had to start the quest all over again. Same thing happened - then I noticed a tiny blue dot just above centre of the map. Rode around and finally got there and then the quest continued as it normally should.

My addons that might have affected the quest were Bartender and Mapster. Mapster can shrink the map so it might have made the blue dot harder to see. Bartender sometimes gets a request to disable as it blocks a function in Wow.

Hope this might help anyone else who gets this issue.

To complete this quest you need to protect the Winter Queen's sigil in the Battle of Ardenweald.

Make your way to the southern edge of Oribos and mount [npc=178291] you will see there.
After arriving to the destination point the scenario starts. Its a bit long one, there are 10 stages:

  1. Reach defence forces - ends automatically when you being dropped by [npc=178291].

  2. Animacone used to create decoy - wait until npcs bring animacone and click to it.

  3. Push back Maw forces - kill mobs on sight, close Maw gates and heal injured mobs to fill up the progress bar.

  4. Sylvanas confronted - make your way to the quest mark and try to hit / interact to Sylvanas Windrunner.

  5. Trained flayedwing mounted - wait until flayedwing arrive and use it to start a ride.

  6. 30/30 Mawsworn slain - you need to kill 30 mobs with flayedwing's poison spit attacks

  7. Soulburner Fraxin slain - just defeat mob you've been asked to defeat

  8. 4/4 Wildseeds saved - locate and interact to 4 wildweeds (all marked on the map)

  9. 2/2 Allies rallied - check out the very northern / southern points of marked quest area

  10. Sylvanas' onslaught survived - kill mobs coming from the portal until the stage ends.

For mog collectors trying to determine whether to do this on alts or take the skip, these are UNIQUE appearances. If you are working out which alts to run thru to get all them all, the 1H Mace appearances are shared so one less to worry about. It also seems you get the appearances for any weapon you could equip so my lock got 4 total appearances instead of the 2 shown above. (She also got [item=179515] and [item=179498].) DH is required. Might try a warrior (since they can equip all but glaive and wand) and see if you get bow and the rest, making it possible to do this with just those 2 as there's no wand that would require a clothie caster.

Edit: Can confirm, warrior did get bow and all the other appearances I was missing so DH/Warrior is the sweet combo for getting them all (making the assumption that warrior would get OH/Dagger/Spellblade as I had those from lock-but seems a safe bet).

Description

With the betrayal of Sire Denathrius, and the absence of the Primus of Maldraxxus, we must assume that the Winter Queen is the Jailer's next target. And we won't let anyone take her sigil! Ardenweald has endured much, but it is a realm of great and mysterious power. Things aren't always what they seem. We'll use this to our advantage, no matter who comes for the Queen!
