The First to Know is a quest for level 80-83 in Eversong Woods. It is step 4 of 15 in the Shadowfall storyline. The quest's turn-in marker is in Eversong Woods at 47.2, 68.4. It rewards 11,750 experience and money.

Description

Notes speaking of fear, of uncertainty--of some mysterious truth? This is not good, <name>. By all accounts, it sounds as if a cult has managed to infiltrate Tranquillien.

If that journal entry was true, Kasiea was attempting to leave it.

We must tell Antenorian. He'll want to secure the town and make sure his people are safe.

As of the beta the only difference between the two options is very minor dialogue change.

Telling Lord Antenorian everything will lead him to say:

"A cult? That is a most serious accusation."

Lying to him will lead him to say:

"Really? How very odd indeed."

With both options he will then follow up by saying:

"I shall have it looked into. But I'm glad you're here - I need your assistance with something."

And give you the quest Chance Meeting

Where to go

Pins are the quest’s own POI points from the current retail client, projected onto the in-game zone map. The game marks one blob as the quest’s turn-in; the rest are objective areas. Points that fall outside a map’s window are dropped rather than guessed at.

  • Rational ExplanationEversong Woods · Level 80-83

Something just doesn't feel right about all of this. Umbric can look into the notebook, but I suspect there's something more going on here. It couldn't hurt to ask around Tranquillien and see if anyone's heard anything odd. I'll take the north side of town, and you take the south. And...

  • Chance MeetingEversong Woods · Level 80-83

I've heard some odd rumors myself. Strange happenings to the south--but also to the east and west, and the north. Tranquillien is surrounded by enemies, it seems. Since you are so dead-set on your investigation, would you look into something for me?
