After I happened to stop by here at lvl 90, I found a detail I totally missed when I had finished the quest: nailed to the stair support strut of the inn is a large note titled "The Attack on Stoneplow". You can click on it to watch the cutscene when the mantid breached the wall.

Description

One last thing, {name}. Don't worry, it's not another favor. You've killed enough mantid today. We recently received a shipment of high-quality armor from Kun-Lai Summit. I was planning to keep them for my men... but I can't think of anybody more deserving than you. You'll find them on the second floor of the inn, here in town.
