The Hermit is an Alliance-only quest for level 10-30 in Duskwood. It rewards 2,050 experience and money.
I've been told there's signs of activity at Beggar's Haunt. People have reported seeing lights in the tower to the east of town.
Few would be bold enough to stay that close to Deadwind Pass. You're the first to report since I've learned about this; go check it out and make sure whatever's in there is human.

Whoever plans to explore the lores of Duskwood (questing), get all the quest from Darkshire, but do this quest first as soon as you get it.
Afterwards, place your priorities on the quest offered by Abercrombie. (i.e. get the quest from Abercrombie, finish the quest, then come back to turn it in)
This is because Abercrombie's quest will send you everywhere the townsfolk from Darkshire will send you to do quest. If you follow Abercrombie's quest line you will be able to finish all the quest offered in Darkshire on the way.
(if you do the quest from Darkshire first, you will end up coming back to the same place to do Abercrombie's quest)
After completion Abercrombie offers you Supplies from Darkshire decent questline.
This quest is unobtainable if you went to see Abercrombie and accepting the Supplies from Darkshire Quest before talking to Commander Althea Ebonlocke.
