Not sure why but my raft came with a raccoon friend. I thought all of them did until I visited this page.
Quest

Once you take this quest you get the buff [spell=116032] (note the jump to go faster). Then after you "pick up your raft", your raft appears automatically anytime you walk out onto the water of the lake, and disappears when you walk back onto land.
If you abandon the quest and then when re-taking it can't get 'pick up your raft' to complete, re-log and a fresh raft to pick up will appear.
raft disappears if your feet are below water level when you head out, just go a bit further and then jump clear of the surface, raft appears and you're on your way:)

What to do
Description
Your raft is down in the water below. Take it out to the middle of the lake, where you should find a woman. Her name is Ana Wu. Whenever I have a question that I can't figure out on my own, I'll ask her. She should be able to tell us why these crocolisks won't stop attacking.
Where to go
Pins are the quest’s own POI points from the current retail client, projected onto the in-game zone map. The game marks one blob as the quest’s turn-in; the rest are objective areas. Points that fall outside a map’s window are dropped rather than guessed at.

Where this quest fits
Before this quest
Taken from the storyline's own step order.
- Build Your Own Raft
<Jay looks off in the direction of Kea Krak.> Hmm. They don't seem to be... calming down. We're going to have to try something different. You'll need a raft. Go grab some wood planks and seaweed, and bring them over to me. I'll put something together for you.
After this quest
Taken from the storyline's own step order.
- Wisdom Has A Price
<Ana listens to your story, and nods.> Crocolisks attacking? I know a story about that. And I will share it with you, but first... I grow hungry. Shark meat should do the trick. You should find enough sharks in the water beneath us.
