The Quest for Better Barley

The Quest for Better Barley is a quest for level 15-35 in Valley of the Four Winds. It is step 14 of 16 in the Valley of the Four Winds, Chen's Masterpiece storyline. The quest's turn-in marker is in Valley of the Four Winds at 52.7, 62.8. It rewards 4,800 experience and money.

Description

Looking for sweet grain? My father once mentioned a malted cave barley that sounds about right.

If you are willing to brave the peril, there is an ancient cave at the base of the Winds' Edge south of here.

There is even an old lift my father made when he would travel into the jungle.

In the cave is a bush as old as my family. From that bush you can pluck a grain so sweet it will humble your senses.

Just watch out for its guardians.

As long as you're here, you might as well help me out. I'm feeling pretty darn unqualified for the task, seeing as I've never drank a drop of beer in my life. You should try a little sample of each of their grains. Let's see if any of this stuff is sweet enough for Uncle Chen.

After this quest

  • The Chen Taste TestValley of the Four Winds · Level 15-35

Uncle Chen is going to love this. Or... he might tell us to find something sweeter. He's kind of dumb like that. Let's get this grain back to him at Halfhill.
