TheWoWDBThe quest turn-in marker may show up on the road at the top of the stairs, if so, ignore that location. The actual turn-in is in a cave-like area. The entrance of the cave is 66.78, 56.34 and it's on a lower level in the ruins. You can just run past the "Unsettled Rubble" fighting at the entrance.

I present You Storyline Beyond the Barrier. This Storyline is part of Sojourner of the Waking Shores which is criteria for Loremaster of the Dragon Isles.

1a. Site Salvage - Quest from [npc=188735] 66.04 58.15. Rescue 5 Beleaguered Explorers: /way 67.51 57.93 /way 67.85 57.89 /way 66.36 56.74 in tower /way 66.15 55.55 in the hole /way 66.86 54.97
1b. Unearthed Troublemakers - Slay 12 [npc=190976]
1c. A Key Element - From 1st mob i kill doing quest 1a+1b i loot [item=191904] that give me this Quest. Return with quest 1a+1b to cave /way 66.77 56.32
4a. Rapid Fire Plans - Loot from mobs 8 [item=192545] them use it to make [item=192546].
4b. Distilled Effort - Fly to cave 70.66 56.66 and Slay [npc=187617] to get [item=192562].
4c. Lofty Goals - First speak with [npc=190334] 70.62 63.15 then avoiding small tornadoes go to speak with [npc=194232] 70.13 61.54. then same avoiding small tornadoes, use air throw to jump and collect [item=192524] 68.31 61.49.
7. Let's Get Theoretical - First speak with [npc=190352] then wait until all of them will use element on barrien then Blue circle on the ground will appear stand on it and use extra bar.
8. Beyond the Barrier - Get inside room Slay [npc=189149] and pick up [item=192480] next to wall 66.11 55.02 then go out and see [npc=190354] in camp 65.81 57.42 That will finish Storyline.Hope That Help You :)
There is a ''man-made'' (artificially created not a natural cave) tunnel entrance at approx 66:56 with small stone elementals (Unsettled Rubble) battling two NPC's that (for me at least) were named Agitated Guarantor, and Harried Guardian.
Directly inside the tunnel entrance is Elementalist Tiayang, a Pandaran and the quest turn in NPC.
She has two companions one to either side of her. A female Dwarf: Acadia Chistlestone and Examiner Tae'shara Bloodwatcher. (A High Elf or derivative thereof)

Description
The earth elementals are not just trying to repel us, they're destroying artifacts and equipment, too! It's as though they've been programmed to destroy anything titan... We're holding them off, but we can't continue to study this site while they're here. Please help us push them back so we can have some exploring room!

Elemental orbs, eh? If there's earth, there's bound to be fire! The primalists over near tae hornswog nests are reshapin' tae land with lava. If anyone has an interest in tae Orb o' Primal Flames, it'd be them! Take them out and see if they have anythin' useful!
- Distilled Effort
The Orb of Primal Stone is a fortuitous find, but Acadia and Tae'shara have conflicting hypotheses regarding the barrier. I have my own hypothesis. Perhaps with more elemental orbs an answer will become clear. One of the explorers saw an oversized water elemental in a nearby cave.
