Not sure if it's addons that need updated or what but both of these questlines have been very buggy for me so far.
You can use the quest item [item=202247] near the questguiver [npc=208355] at /way 61.26, 30.75, on a floating island very high up on the north side of Thaldraszus.
Once you use the item, select the first option, then follow the light until the treasure trail is 100%. The exact location is on top of a small stone at /way 61.88, 29.85, behind the tree.

Description
Now that you know how to use the device, we will put your skills to the test. I have attuned your Technoscryers to a valuable item hidden somewhere on this island. Provided you can find it, we will use it to view a scene from the past and deduce how it got there. It is time for science! Put... the goggles... on! Resume your scrying!
