TheWoWDBThis one and all the other climbing quests are severely bugged. Or worse, Blizzard has no interest to complete this so that all functions work as designed. I maxed out on all the benefits but most don't work. The timer basically kills all options you might want to try. In addition, there are missing grips, and challenges like getting an artifact, cannot be completed in one run. Some are out of reach since no grip is nearby. My only (and poor) option is to get out of the climbing gear and put it back on. That way, some items come back in lower locations and you can get those to complete the quest.
Personally, I am a hobby climber and was excited when I saw my favorite thing in the game. Now It just sucks, luckily just in WoW.

Don't click on the blue "crumbling ice" hand holds. I can't believe it took me so long to figure out something so obvious.
Don't know if it's just me, but I cannot find the first hold to actually start climbing.
