For progression without killing mobs,

1) Look for plans. They are small, square pieces of paper. 3% each.
2) Forge engineers may sometimes drop crates (if they're carrying them) before they engage in combat. 3% each as well.
3) Loot cannonballs. You can only hold 1 at any one time. 2% each.
4) Throw cannonballs at siege cannons. 5% each (+1% for each mob you kill in the blast radius. Note that the fel commanders are immune to cannonball damage.)

Also note that the forge engineer crates may be bugged. If you can't interact with them, forget about them and concentrate on other stuff.

Normally, when you're in the air on a flying mount, you can't throw [spell=183813].

However, as a Druid, you can assume Travel Form, pick a bomb, fly aloft and throw the bomb at anything you like, which won't force you back into humanoid form.

Let's be bombardiers! Death From Above! Death From Above! Death from Above! [spell=152150]!

EDIT: You can actually pick up bomb in Travel Form. Normally if a melee mob can't attack you they'll "evade", but since [spell=183813] one-shot any non-rare mob in the zone, they'll just die if you bomb them from above. So, theoretically, a druid can finish this entire quest without even shifting out of Travel Form once.

Do pay attention though, the bomb has a very limited range, and if your altitude exceeds that range you can't throw it even if you're right on top of your target.

UPDATE:
There was recently an issue with the quest that has since been addressed. With that said, players who were working on this during the time of the fix will find that they are unable to complete quest progression. If you experience this, you are encouraged to drop the quest and reacquire before reattempting. Please note that you will lose any progress you have made towards this quest. This should only be necessary once. We apologize for any inconvenience!

Hey guys, we’ve discovered that the following bonus objective areas will NOT count towards The Time to Strike event quest due to a bug:
• Assault on Ironhold Harbor (Horde : Alliance)
• Assault on the Temple of Sha’naar (Horde : Alliance)
• Assault on the Ruins of Kra’nak (Horde : Alliance)
• Assault on the Fel Forge (Horde : Alliance)
• Assault on the Throne of Kil’jaeden (Horde : Alliance)

So until this is fixed, you should venture to other bonus objective areas in order to complete The Time to Strike. Sorry for any inconvenience!
