You CAN STEER the ball toward the hole after it lands.
This is the most important thing to know. At first, I assumed it was regular golf and game RNG.
Pro-tip...hold both buttons on the mouse and steer.
Each ability 1-3 will give a different distance, land the shot in front of the hole and steer in. You can travel on the ground a good distance but steering is slow to turn.
