If you can't stand farming the mobs for the ammunition then don't bother with the cannons, just go to a hill near 26, 59 and shoot them down or pull with your ranged attacks
Easily the worst world quest available. Must kill Abhorrent Artificers for ammunition. VERY low drop rate and very long respawn time on Artificers. Be prepared to be there a while.
