General Notes
- The Rank 1 plans are mostly purchased from [npc=92265], a vendor in Suramar. You must complete the final quest of the Blacksmithing quest chain (Tribal Knowledge) to unlock this vendor.
- The plans for [item=123917] are rewarded by Tribal Knowledge itself, and do not need to be purchased.
- Demonsteel Bar can only be crafted at the Firmament Stone located at Ironhorn Enclave in Highmountain [54.6, 84.1].
- As noted below, to obtain the Rank 2 plans for each slot, you need to craft a single piece of armor to get the corresponding quest to appear from [npc=92243] next to the Firmament Stone at Ironhorn Enclave, Highmountain. This quest will reward the Rank 2 plans for the corresponding armor piece.
- The Rank 3 plans come from various sources:
- 1 is sold from a vendor with no reputation requirement.
- 1 requires farming some [currency=1149]s in the Dalaran Underbelly.
- 1 has a chance to drop from a Rated Battleground win.
- 3 require Exalted reputation with the [faction=1828].
- 2 require Exalted reputation with the [faction=1948].
- Each progressive rank of a recipe reduces the cost to craft the armor significantly.
Crafting Demonsteel Armor is one of the few ways to level Blacksmithing skill from 760 to 800. The easiest armor piece to use to achieve this is the [item=123913], as the Rank 3 recipe for this has no reputation requirements.

What you will need:
- 40 Felslate + leveling requirements as in chart below.
- 10 Leystone Ore + leveling requirements as in chart below.
- 3 [item=124124] + leveling requirements as in chart below.
- 2 Infernal Brimstone + leveling requirements as in chart below.
- 1 Foxflower Flux + leveling requirements as in chart below.
- [money=24000000]-[money=30000000] (depending on your reputation with [faction=1948]; [money=30000000] at Neutral, [money=28500000] at Friendly, [money=27000000] at Honored, [money=25500000] at Revered and [money=24000000] at Exalted or if you are a Goblin.

Once you have levelled Blacksmithing to the point where all other recipes are grey or green (skill 760-770), follow these steps:
- Complete the Blacksmithing Questline, up to and including Tribal Knowledge.
- Purchase and learn [item=123924] (Rank 1) from [npc=92265] at [30, 53.2] in Suramar.
- Fly to Valdisdall, Stormheim and purchase [item=123952] (Rank 3) from [npc=106904] (Location: [60.2, 51.2])
- Fly to the Firmament Stone at Ironhorn Enclave in southeast Highmountain at [54.6, 84.1].
- Craft 10 Demonsteel Bar at the Firmament Stone, plus however many more you need to max out Blacksmithing based on your starting skill level (see the chart below).
- Go down to one of the anvils between the buildings by the Firmament Stone. Craft 1 [item=123913].
- Go back up the hill to the Firmament Stone and complete the quest Demonsteel Helm to obtain [item=123944].
- Learn [item=123944] (Rank 2).
- Learn [item=123952] (Rank 3).
- Craft as many [item=123913]s as you need to reach 800 skill.

Notes:
(1) Each of these quests becomes available after crafting your first piece of the corresponding armor. Once you have crafted it, the quest will immediately be offered by [npc=92243] next to the Firmament Stone at Ironhorn Enclave, Highmountain. This quest grants the Rank 2 plans. For example, crafting your first [item=123912] will make the quest [quest=38539] available, which rewards [item=123945].
(2) These plans, despite being sold by the Valarjar Emissary, have no reputation requirements to purchase them.

First, however, you'll need proper patterns for demonsteel armor. While access to the stone is earned through hard work and perseverance, access to our recipes is limited to the trusted members of our tribe. Perhaps you should seek another smith if you wish to discuss demonsteel patterns.
