Commando Drop

Commando Drop is a Horde-only quest for level 5-30 in Azshara. It is step 86 of 88 in the Azshara storyline. The quest's turn-in marker is in Azshara at 10.6, 69.8. It rewards 4,100 experience.

Description

Are you sensitive to the tremors of the local ley-lines, <name>? I can feel the occasional thrum, like the plucking of a string. It's the kind of resonance I'd expect from a long-range summoning spell. The Lorekeepers in Talrendis, with their laughably primitive magics, are trying to summon in backup from Darnassus.

We can use this to our advantage, <name>. If you can compromise their summoning stone, we can teleport a crack team of commandos behind enemy lines.

Locate the summoning stone in Talrendis!

Where to go

Pins are the quest’s own POI points from the current retail client, projected onto the in-game zone map. The game marks one blob as the quest’s turn-in; the rest are objective areas. Points that fall outside a map’s window are dropped rather than guessed at.

  • Blacken the SkiesAzshara · Level 5-30

<name>! Give us a hand here, will ya? Gorsch here had a bad experience at the all-you-can-eat seafood joint back in town, and now we're short a pilot. My job was to take out those elven glaive throwers before they cut our air units to ribbons. Hop on this wind rider and take to the skies!

After this quest

  • Let Them Feast on FearAzshara · Level 5-30

Our grunts are strong but have no initiative. They're fighting toe-to-toe on the front lines. But an independent <class> like yourself - well, someone like you can slip behind the lines and cause some real havoc deep within the enemy redoubt.
