Dark Iron Trappers

Dark Iron Trappers is an Alliance-only quest for level 10-30 in Wetlands. It is step 27 of 40 in the Wetlands storyline. The quest's turn-in marker is in Wetlands at 26.9, 26.1. It rewards 1 reputation reward, 4,100 experience and money.

Description

You may have seen them while you were out, but the Dark Iron clan has been spotted in this area. They're never up to any good, and it looks like they're kidnapping the Mosshide gnolls for some reason.

I don't know what their game is, but we're putting a stop to this before more foul play occurs. Go and stop them.

And if you're worried about fairness, try askin' them politely first and see how far that gets you.

There is a broad area for killing Trappers. The area with Trappers fighting Gnolls will allow you to loot keys from the Trappers, (you will have to fight the Gnolls as well as they are red) however the cages to unlockand rescue the Gnolls are farther East from this spot.

Where this quest fits

Before this quest

Taken from the storyline's own step order.

  • Hunting HorrorjawWetlands · Level 10-30

I've been tempted to go after the big kill... the largest crocolisk out there, Horrorjaw. His hide alone would be enough to get my family out of this hole. But I'm no fool. One mistake and I could lose a leg, or my life, and then where would my wife and kids be?

After this quest

Taken from the storyline's own step order.

  • Gnoll EscapeWetlands · Level 10-30

I know we were just attacking the gnolls ourselves, but I'm not about to let the Dark Iron capture them as slaves. For one, we found the thieves and took back what was missing, so justice is served; for another, whatever work the Dark Iron will be putting them to isn't something I want to allow.
