This World Quest is the objective of the "Challenges in Bastion" calling quest. It's probable that completing this world quest will auto-accept the calling quest, since you can't go back to do the world quest again if you've already completed it, however this theory is not confirmed.
If you don't want to be the test subject, go to your covenant sanctum and pick it up before taking on this world quest. Completing the world quest without the quest will require you to do [zone=12916] or [zone=12837] instead. Thanks to Mutaphoenix for his sacrifice in the name of science!
If you don't pick up the quest before completing the world quest, you will need to complete the dungeon Spires of Ascension or Necrotic Wake to finish it. - test subject
Pins are the quest’s own POI points from the current retail client, projected onto the in-game zone map. The game marks one blob as the quest’s turn-in; the rest are objective areas. Points that fall outside a map’s window are dropped rather than guessed at.
Quests whose map markers the client places closest to this one on Bastion, nearest first. Distances are straight lines between the markers.
Getting there
Flight points closest to the quest’s first objective area marker on Bastion:
Terrace of the Collectors, BastionAlliance and Horde · about 560 yards east
Sagehaven, BastionAlliance and Horde · about 1,200 yards east
Straight-line distances in yards between the quest’s own map markers (QuestPOI) and the client’s flight-point positions (TaxiNodes); flight paths and terrain are not modelled.
Build history
First seen in build 12.0.7.68887 (Midnight patch 12.0.7, the oldest build in our datamine).
Steps, storylines and map placement from the client’s QuestLine, prerequisite and QuestPOI data; neighbouring quest text is Blizzard’s own (quest API), shortened to its opening sentences.
