Flightmare

Flightmare is a Horde-only quest for level 10-30 in Southern Barrens. It is step 59 of 89 in the Southern Barrens storyline. The quest's turn-in marker is in Southern Barrens at 41.1, 71.0. It rewards 4 reward items, 1 reputation reward, 4,100 experience and money. Completing it counts toward 1 achievement.

Description

The Alliance has hired in Wildhammer mercenaries to control the skies over the Battlescar. I believe these same gryphon-riders were the ones to firebomb Taurajo during the attack.

I want our skies scoured clean.

The wildhammer dwarves fly low enough for a sharp-eyed <class> to hook them. Take this. Target their gryphons and dismount the riders - once grounded, show them no mercy.

Given in Desolation Hold in the South Barrens. There are Wildhammer mercenaries flying around on white hippogryphs. Target one of the hippogryphs and use the hook. From what I can tell, the hook has a pretty decent range.

Once you hook the mercenary, he comes to you and you just melee him down.

I also recommend doing this in conjunction with Parts-is-Parts (also given in Desolation Hold) because you can chop the mercenaries up.
