TheWoWDBAfter Hours of frustration reloading, relogging, disabling addons etc...etc.. I found out 2 things.
1. To do the old quests for loremaster you have to talk to Zidormi at the zone entrance to swamp od sorrows.
2. If you leave the zone for any reason, you have to go back and talk to Zidormi AGAIN or you wont be able to do your quests.
I had flown out of the zone looking for Rofilian Dane before I realized he was in the mine. This reset Blasted lands to the pre-cata phase.

Entrance to the mines is at 50.10 and Dane is at 60.3 on the tracks. It's the same layout as the Netherwing mine. Pretty easy to maneuver around in
Directions to the mine:
Ride east and then north on the road which heads to the Swamp of Sorrows. It's about 50ft to your right 1/2 way up this path.
It's also the most northern cave entrance in the zone.

Description
We don't have any hope of taking the Nethergarde Mines from the Alliance... at least not yet. Nethergarde is well-defended, and their supply routes are established and strong. Our goal, then, is to damage their economy. We can't take the mine by force, but with surgical strikes we can drastically reduce the mine's efficiency. I have men creating a distraction outside the mines. Head east, sneak into the mines, and speak with Rofilian Dane for your assignment.

This is actually an old orc city... one of the oldest on Azeroth. That is, it was until the ogres pushed us out. Today's Horde refuses to be pushed over by ogres. My troops and I took the town back by force, and the ogres who once lived here now work as my servants. Now, our real work begins.
