Heart On Fire

Heart On Fire is an Alliance-only quest for level 10-40 in Shadowmoon Valley. It is step 6 of 8 in the On the Shadow's Trail storyline. The quest's turn-in marker is in Shadowmoon Valley at 19.1, 28.6. It rewards 6,850 experience and money.

Description

We have the shards, but now they must be combined. There's a forge here, but even its fires aren't hot enough for our purposes.

However, there is a demon nearby that burns hot as the sun.

Gul'dan, or perhaps Razuun, has managed to summon an infernal. The thing calls itself Krosnis, which means "furnace."

The demon's heart burns hotly enough. All you need do is collect it.

Wait a second here...

A normal forge isn't hot enough, but the heart of this demon burns with the heat of the sun, and I'm just going to grab it?

Even if it was only SLIGHTLY hotter than a normal forge, this doesn't seem like something I'd want to touch.

Where this quest fits

Before this quest

Taken from the storyline's own step order.

  • Soul Shards of SummoningShadowmoon Valley · Level 10-40

It's good to know what Teron'gor and Cho'gall are up to. It's more important that we stop Gul'dan. Some of his disciples can summon minor demons. To do this, these lesser warlocks must use a soul shard.

After this quest

Taken from the storyline's own step order.

  • Forging the Soul TrapShadowmoon Valley · Level 10-40

The fiery heart of Krosnis is in the forge. We have the soul shards. Now all that is left to do is to stoke the fires and combine all of these foul components into a trap for Gul'dan.
