Heated Battle (Alliance)

Heated Battle is an Alliance-only quest for level 15-30 in Dragonblight. It is step 33 of 149 in the Dragonblight storyline. The quest's turn-in marker is in Dragonblight at 52.2, 50.0. It rewards 1 reputation reward, 4,100 experience and money.

Description

The Scourge have overrun the shrine. The shrine's keeper, Dahlia Suntouch, is nowhere to be found. The red wyrms that fell in the shrine's defense now beset us in the form of twisted skeletal emberwyrms. The situation is dire, <race>.

Captain Iskandar leads a group of your kind in stemming the flow of the Scourge out of the shrine.

Go to his aid... but please stay behind his men. The flow of Scourge is endless and I don't want to lose you in one of those scarred canyons.

Captain Iskandar is trying to hold the 2 passes (East and Southeast) from the Scourge. He has a group of conscripts with him and moves from one pass to the other every ~2-3 mins of battle.
So, what you have to do is:
1) Locate the Captain, he's either on the East or the Southeast pass.
2) Stand between the conscripts and tag as many mobs you can. Don't get to aggressive though, abominations hit somewhat hard.
GL!

Where this quest fits

Before this quest

Taken from the storyline's own step order.

  • Report to the Ruby DragonshrineDragonblight · Level 15-30

We need you at the Ruby Dragonshrine. The dragons are beset on all sides by the blue flight and the scourge... they're in no better a state than we are. The situation seems dire, but this affords us a rare opportunity to establish a valuable alliance.

After this quest

Taken from the storyline's own step order.

  • Return to the EarthDragonblight · Level 15-30

I have another task that needs attention. I have brothers who are falling in the battle overhead and if we do not act quickly, they will only bolster the emberwyrm ranks. Get into the shrine through one of the other passes to the south or north... the Scourge presence should be lighter there.
