There is at most one bird that you can get within 30 yards of at a time and it takes for ever to pull them.

You basicaly need to kill white birds (gryphons) as marked on map, they are flying on top of the peaks.
I would add only one thing, since there are two types of white birds, make sure you kill those who are "friendly" (yellow tag)...
They aren't gryphons, they're just big white eagles. The ones you want are the neutral ones, the hostile ones are hawks, not kites.

Description
I've identified another high risk target, one that most people would not suspect. The cliff kites soaring above the hills to the east are quite dangerous. I have seen them swooping down to the farms, snatching grain and seed when no one is looking. In order to protect the farms, we must thin their numbers.
