This quest kind of sucks. The obelisk disappears after one person clicks it. They are very spread out and the spawn timer is horrible. After 30 minutes of doing this quest and I am only at 3/6.

I found three of those closely together in the mine where one goes to kill Mantis - entrance 70, 58. They were in the room where Norushen is in siege of Orgrimmar and respawned in about 2 minutes.
This is a very, very annoying quest. The pillars despawn after one person clicks them, they don't respawn instantly, and they're hard to tell from the non-quest ones at a distance. It's not impossible to do, but given how many people are doing this the day after patch day, the zone does a very good impression of being bugged so they aren't spawning at all. Be prepared for your own side to ninja loot you right, left and center, there's no loyalty here.

What to do
Description
In ages past, the black obelisks of the Old Gods would herald the coming of their forces. The dark conjurers among the k'thir and n'raqi would utilize these monuments to establish footholds in our world and usher in more of the Old Gods' minions. Today, we see these very same obelisks littering the battlefields. So long as they stand, N'Zoth's forces will be without end. Make sure they do not.
