Raked Over the Coals

Raked Over the Coals is a quest for level 10-80 in Zaralek Cavern. It is step 14 of 16 in The Ancient Bargain storyline. The quest's turn-in marker is in Zaralek Cavern at 56.0, 54.3. It rewards 9,500 experience and money.

Description

The shadowflame has already corrupted Fyrakk irreparably. Every place in Zaralek darkened by his wings has been lit ablaze with shadowflame.

We cannot leave it behind and let it fester--it will need to be extinguished while it is still kindling, lest we allow its corruption to take root.

<Ebyssian coughs, then winces.>

Sabellian and I cannot take to the air in this state. Disperse the flames with your drake. We will follow you below and meet you back at Loamm.

Where to go

Where this quest fits

Before this quest

Taken from the storyline's own step order.

  • No Dragon Left BehindZaralek Cavern · Level 10-80

    I... cannot move so long as this spear remains in my side. But we need to follow Fyrakk's trail. <Ebyssian grunts sharply, his breathing labored, claws digging into the dirt.> Remove it. I can... bear the pain it will cause.

After this quest

Taken from the storyline's own step order.

  • The Endless Burning SkyZaralek Cavern · Level 10-80

    Fyrakk must have breathed shadowflame upon the niffen on his way out of the cavern. There is too much fire for it to have merely sloughed off of him. He did this on purpose. <Ebyssian clenches his staff tightly. He looks weary for a moment. Only a moment.> We will save Loamm. All of Loamm.
