Abandoning the quest will not allow you to see other dialog choices. As of the first day of the patch, the optional dialogues remain completed, and you will need to reload your UI to complete the mandatory parts of the quest again.

Talking to Narvra during this quest, when mentioning to her that you get saved sometimes too, I had the option of telling her about being being saved from the legion ship at the end of Tomb of Sargeras! Seems there's a bunch of options you can unlock by doing certain quests/raids wherein you get saved by other characters. Love quests like these!
