TheWoWDBWhen I picked up the quest, the Blizzard quest helper put a blue area up by the fountain in the middle of the Garrison and marked it as "Salvaging the Situation. I was looking all over that area for a bag of salvaged parts, so just in case anyone else gets confused by this, it's already in your bag. Just click the icon next to the incinerator.
Edit: There will be a quest item in your bag. Stand close to the incinerator. Click the quest item that's in your bag.
