TheWoWDBIf the pvp tower icon says time remaining then the towers cannot be capture till the time lapses. When the towers are capturable it will show red and blue tower icons with a number next ti it.
Also i believe the towers are only capturable 4 times a day cause the highest time remaining i have seen was 5 hrs 50ish minutes so i am guessing they open for capture bout every 6hrs and only stay capturable for 30 minutes. If none are capped the tower icon will be grey for 6 hours.

Just did this as of patch 4.01 and received no honor points, just the gold.
Can someone share some info as what one is supposed to DO ? ... how exactly is one to 'take a tower' or 'towers'

Description
Auchindoun's spirits have no stake in the conflict between the Alliance and the Horde, but incurring their favor will give our side an edge in the region. Ancient custom directs the living to pay their respects at spirit towers in the Bone Wastes - though only at specific times of the day. If you can help secure a tower during these times, you will have helped bring the spirits to our side. Should we succeed in gaining the spirits' favor, they will grant us a boon that will aid us in our endeavors.
