I abandoned this quest and while the exclamation showed on the map to retake the quest the NPC was still despawned. I tried rezoning through the portal which didn't help but after running to the southern part of the map and back it either gave him time to respawn or reset the quest somehow. Hope this helps
If the 'sneak past Guam' is still 0/1 after you succesfully walked pas him, just walk a little further to the water.
If you attack an enemy, the [spell=181705] will be dispelled and you will have to run back to where you picked up the quest and reapply the disguise by clicking on the pile of seaweeds.

I'm not sure what yer doin' here, but ye have my thanks. If ye want to get any further, though, ye'll need to get past that foul dog, Guarm. I've tried meself a few times, and I think I have a plan. If we can get some of the seaweed these kvaldir wear, we might be able to trick the mutt.
