The torch you need to pick up (after doing the three levers) is INSIDE the fireplace, hanging on the wall, to the left of the fire.
For those that are completely stuck and can't activate levers and don't have the torch and cannot get the proper quest from Tithris in The roasted ram you simply need to visit Fangli Hoot in Valdrakken. Equip your tricked out thinking cap (yes you need this), talk to her and accept the quest. Finish the quest, visit the roasted ram again and now you should see the appropriate quest given be Bobby Carlisle. Be sure to talk to Tithris again as well. Hope this helps.

Description
Let's begin with a simple test. I have hidden an artifact somewhere in the Ruby Enclave. If you have the torch out, it should illuminate when you get close to the target. And if my theory is correct, it should interact with a lock I put on the artifact. Bring me back what's inside. Got it?
