Thros, the Blighted Lands is an Alliance-only quest for level 50. It is step 24 of 24 in The Pride of Kul Tiras storyline, the final step. It rewards 8,500 experience and money. Completing it counts toward 1 achievement.

The Blighted Lands...

If the legends are true then inside we will witness suffering and torment the likes of which we have never known. ..

...but if that is what I must endure to right what I have wronged, then I will cross that threshold gladly.

For anyone who's read the novel Jaina Proudmoore: Tides of War, which depicted the events preceding Mists of Pandaria, there is a possible cameo at the end of this quest in a cutscene where Jaina is surrounded by her dead allies. To her right in the second row is a gnome with pink hair who I think might be Kinndy Sparkshine, Jaina's friend and apprentice.
