How to skip the scenario while questing in Chromie Time:
Grab your buffs and duel your old garrison follower that you forgot about for 5 years, and hand in "To Be Prepared" at Stone Guard Mukar to get a free ring. Then accept the Battle for Broken Shore quest. Don't talk to Captain Russo! Go back to talk to Holgar Stormaxe at the gates of Orgrimmar with the quest still in your log, and he should have the dialogue for you to skip the scenario and teleport right to Dalaran.
Quest
To Be Prepared
A World of Warcraft quest in Durotar. Facts and objectives from the current retail game data.

Short Version:
You will be given 4 tasks to perform.
- Armor Polished - Go to 49.62,14.19
- Weapon Empowered - Go to 51.4,12.29
- Last Meal Eaten - Go to 47.7, 13.58
- Warmed up with a duel - Go to 53.14,11.21
Long Version:
The war veteran Holgar Stormaxe tells you to prepare yourself. Riding a few seconds east (47.7,13.58) you encounter a male Pandarian (Liu-So) standing before 3 tables of food. His female Pandarian assistant (Ju-Shan) is cooking. You only need to eat one thing to complete the quest. It also doesn't matter what you eat (you will get an immediate 100-versatility buff, and if you need healing, and instant heal (between 70k-133k).After eating, continue east for a few seconds (49.62, 14.19) and you will see a male Orc, Orgek Ironhand, a Blacksmithing trainer from Frostwall who has come to lend his aid by polishing armor. Click on one of the kegs on the table before him and you will get a 30% increased-armor buff.
Even though they are not on the list, continue a could of seconds east where three trolls are dancing around a cauldron. Click on the cauldron to get Extra Thick Mojo. You can only click once for a stack of 9. It will increase health and DPS.
Continue walking a few steps east, go past the gnomes and stop at the table where Seleria Dawncaller,Merhean Sunfall, and Lan'Veros Furybrand (all of these garrison followers arrived ahead of you somehow). Click on one of the globes in front of them to get an extra holy-damage buff.
Finally, walk a few more paces to the east and you will come to a group of NPC's fighting in a ring with Sargent Grimjaw (your garrison's quartermaster) welcoming you. You cannot attack anyone actually fighting, but if you hover your mouse over any of the NPC audience members and see a "talk bubble", you can go to one of them, click, and challenge. Again, these are garrison followers. (Your garrison must be quite empty!). You can see ahead of time the class type of your opponent (warrior, spellcaster, etc.). As a priest, I decided to attack Dawn Mercurus to see if I could take on this fire mage! She went down fast. You can spar with as many of these garrison followers as you wish.
When done, do not return to the quest giver but instead keep heading east to the shore to Stone Guard Mukar (55.59,10.95) who has left his post as a quartermaster in Wintergrasp.
When you turn in your quest, he will give you an ilvl 685 ring Mark of Orgrimmar
I was given the option to skip this quest and go straight to Dal, and come back later to finish this quest line, so I chose that. Going back to do the quests at lvl 102 though, and although I can pick up "To be prepared" none of the NPCs are there, I tried reloading, Saurfang is still in the Hold and Lady Sylvanas is nowhere to be found... any ideas?
