They will accept gauntlets that have been bound to you, so if you wanted to take the opportunity to add the appearance to your wardrobe, this is a good time to do so.

I did this world quest on my Paladin a week or so ago, since she has Blacksmithing and the quest just popped
up when I logged in at the Dalaran inn. I noticed that it automatically finished itself as soon as it appeared so I
just thought "Great! I'll head on over and just hand that right in."Handed it in, didn't think anything of it and carried on about my business as usual. A few minutes later, I happened
to pan my camera around and suddenly noticed that something was off about my character - a quick check of my
equipment panel confirmed what it was.The bastard had taken the Leystone Gauntlets that I was actually wearing. That's why the quest immediately
finished upon logging in!So, be careful if you're a plate-wearer with a pair of Leystone Gauntlets equipped - since they're the right item, the quest
will happily take the pair that you're wearing and use those to finish the quest. I don't think the quest should look on your
own personal equipment for such items, but I suppose it makes sense >:(
"Rank 3: Greatly reduces the materials required to craft Leystone Gauntlets."
It reduces the required Leystone Ore from 18 to 12 (aka 1/3rd) while required Foxflower Flux stays the same. Hand this in at the Violet Citadel if completed it.
