Also, fair warning, the CD from shapeshifting applies to this ability so if you're like me and you try to drop out of flight from an use this, make sure you have enough altitude for the 2 sec CD.

As of 7.0.3 after Legion launch, You still cannot use Flap with [spell=114301] even though you have [spell=24858] on.

Hopefully they'll make do somehow, because it's quite useful afterall.

This spell is effectively a Priest's Levitate. I'm so happy this works for Astral Form now.

Why do we need a warning for something that's common sense??? Well, it isn't common sense due to the fact that when you mouse over Moonkin Form and you have Glyph of Stars it clearly says "Your moonkin form now appears as astral form, conferring all the same benefits, but appearing as a astrally enhanced version of your normal humanoid form." Yeah, it says all the same benefits. Flap is a benefit so logically speaking it should still work with Glyph of Stars. Where did your "common sense" come from kurfew007? Am I missing something?

This is the dumbest thing. I actually died trying it out thinking you had to be falling for it to activate. Nope.

This is great when Glider and Displacer Beast are on CD. It only works if you are in Moonkin form, but if you shift out of moonkin into caster form it still will have the effect but I think that's a bug. I usually break it by shifting into prowl since I've yet to make a more elegant way to do it.

Love flap. Never take it away, it's just too much fun. And pretty handy sometimes also.

It works with Nitro Boosts, Stampeding Roar and also, if you have a pair of them, with TBC Rocket Boots.

Unfortunately, Moonkin Form (or any form for that matter) activates the GCD, so it halts the macro. Anything after it will not trigger. Your best bet will be to try to get in the habit of always being in Moonkin Form... not ideal, but the best option for now.

In Legion 7.1 using Flap while in [spell=114301]'s moonkin form will result in the following error message: "You can't do that YET"..
This means there's still hope for us, my fellow droods. =3

I tried to do this now and when I go out of Moonkin form, I loose the flap effect.

Malfurion definitely can flap out of Moonkin Form

Yeah, it would have been nice if there was a warning about this... maybe change the name to something with a stellar flair (no pun intended)

I was wondering why this was available outside of Balance spec/affinity.
Now I remember why. It's from a tome.
Why not just have it be baseline and come with the affinity/spec? It's just kind of baffling to have an ability I can never use.

Thank you for confirming this. I do agree that they should have a warning or at least a tool tip that say "doesn't stack" with Glyph of Stars.

Outdated, as the commend beneath says: By RageZero (8,966 – 1·11·106) on 2017/01/12 (Patch 7.1.5) Since patch 7.1.5., this now also works in Astral form! You will hover instead of flapping, but the effect stays the same :)

So. Not good, running from a pvp fight. Alternatively, DOT that enemy druid as he makes his escape !

I'd like to put this in a macro for those accidental long falls, but I can't seem to get the right trigger/command. I've got the

/cast !Moonkin Form
part down just fine, but

/cast Flap
did nothing. Nor did 'use'.

You could try a castsequence macro. Ie: "/castsequence Moonkin form, Flap". You have to click it twice... so if you hit the ground before the GCD is off it's pretty useless tho.

This + Gamon's Braid or Mr. Smite's Compass looks pretty hilarious

Here's a fun little detail I noticed while playing around with a macro for this ability.

You can activate Flap and then shift out of Moonkin Form and still keep the buff! Your character will be swimming in the air just above the ground, which looks pretty hilarious. The effect is still the same, so you'll fall (swim) slowly through the air just like with normal use of this ability.

Keep in mind that you won't be able to renew the duration after it runs out unless you shift back to Moonkin Form, though.

The random cancels of this ability since the launch of BfA have made this a very interesting ability to use, you just never know when it might just drop you!

Works fine for KT druids

In Legion Remix, this is available from Amurra Thistledew in The Dreamgrove. She sometimes moves inside the building, but is generally stood at the entrance at 40.0, 24.5.

Well there's no cooldown and it resets your fall height even if only active for a millisecond. The falling druid can spam this. But you might as well DOT him up anyways :O

I would remove the Flap from the first line. @Nithu to make this work, you have to press this button twice because Moonkin form triggers the global cooldown. Alternatively just smash the key/klick the button repeatedly until you are flapping.
