Flog the Captain Eater is the target of a new Danger: world quest not yet up on wowhead database.

He is one of the named NPC's you must kill along with Prince Oceanus in the Oceanus Cove. You also must kill 6 of the regular sea skrogs that inhabit the area. This quest is easily soloable especially if you have any self healing. My experience is that the Prince and Flog are actually even quicker kills than the regular elite giants. This zone appears to be multi-realm while this Danger: quest is active, at least in my experience.

Flog's abilities are to knock you back, then pull you back in with a chain and normal melee, the Prince on the other hand sucks you in with an aoe and then puts blue swirls on the ground which if you are hit knock you in the air, you can avoid every mechanic from either named giant if you are careful.

Here is a video of how to get to Prince Oceanus and Flog and in general how to do the world quest

  • if you start from "Shackles Den", goes westwards to the area of "Oceanus Cove". Look for a narrow ravine and go through. Then go straight ahead, past a cage, and you come straight to Flog the Captain-Eater.
