A Crack in the World is a quest for level 36-80 in Valdrakken. It is step 3 of 16 in the Breaking Ground storyline. It rewards 1,200 experience and money.
As you can see, Wrathion and Sabellian are also ready. If the Aspects have news of the Incarnates' actions, then the black dragonflight is prepared to answer the call.
Come. They are eager to speak with us.

Right out the gate and I cannot talk to Alexstrasza. I aborted and accepted the quest again and waited a few minutes and nothing
Bit of an annoying quest, I wish they'd just show you the cutscene rather than making you mess around waiting for Alexstraza to transform and whatever. Then there's extra talking RP after it. But I'm getting crotchety setting up an alt and everything!
Had the same issue. Some how I was in a party of 1. Dropped group and was able to finish quest.

Before I arrived, I was informed that the Life-Binder has need of our aid. There is news of the Incarnates, and she requests our presence at the Seat of the Aspects. As for Emberthal -- there is very little we can do for now. It is best we allow her to reflect and gather thoughts alone.
Taken from the storyline's own step order.
The Aspects have requested our help. As protectors of the Isles and dragonkind, we are more than willing. I must locate Emberthal and ask her to join. I believe I can recruit her to our cause as long as we remain committed to hers against the Sundered Flame in the future.
Breaking Ground has 16 steps, from The Land Beneath to Six Hundred Feet Under.
Maps its steps are placed on (steps per map): Zaralek Cavern (10), Valdrakken (3), Ohn'ahran Plains (2), Zaralek Cavern (1).
Steps of this storyline count toward:
Steps, storylines and map placement from the client’s QuestLine, prerequisite and QuestPOI data; neighbouring quest text is Blizzard’s own (quest API), shortened to its opening sentences.
