If you are having trouble killing him on your own, there is a village near by "Broadhoof Outpost" that he paths near. If you pull him into the village the Maruuk will handle and kill him instantly. Note that he has to path near the village for you to pull him in, if you try bring him in when he is further away he will reset.
Was on my level 67 Shaman, hit him with Flame Shock when he got close to the village and he rammed into the area where the flight master was and all the Maruuk jumped him. Hope this helps!

For you, easy , maybe but for me so far not possible. I am level 68 with quest gear and no dungeons on this alt. Might be able to do it if other animals didn't keep joining the fight.
