Aerial Advantage

Aerial Advantage is a quest for level 60 in Maldraxxus. It is step 13 of 20 in the Righteous Retribution storyline. The quest's turn-in marker is in Maldraxxus at 28.0, 37.5. It rewards 8,150 experience and money.

Description

Gharmal's rocs dominate the skies above, striking at our forces as we advance. The Zerekriss can't get into position until they are cleared out!

I would take care of them myself, but I'm not much of a flier. Don't have the balance for it!

Take my riding hook and latch onto a roc. Once you're riding, just start hitting it 'til the job is done.

  2. Use the quest item on one of the two flying mobs chained on the ground to the quest giver. You should fly up into the air on the mount.

  4. Press the '2' and '3' keys until you get a warning that the mount will panic and throw you off.

  6. Select another flying (not on the ground chained) mount and press the '1' key. You should jump over from the old mount to the newly selected mount. The mount you left should die and you should get credit for its death.

  8. Repeat #2 to #4 until you have completed the quest.

  10. Use the exit vehicle button on the mount to fall off in parachute mode.

Had the same issue. What worked for me was to use the quest item hook on the saddled Rocs by the quest giver, attack them till they panic (using skills 2 & 3 on bar), then use Skill 1 to hook to the next roc. Once you're flying on a roc you can't use your quest item again - you have to use the Skill 1 on your bar.

Where this quest fits

Before this quest

Taken from the storyline's own step order.

  • Charging The BladeMaldraxxus · Level 60

We can't advance with those juggernauts bombarding our position! I led a strike against the nearest, but conventional weapons do nothing against their imbued hides. Thankfully, I have an idea.

After this quest

Taken from the storyline's own step order.

  • Grave IntentMaldraxxus · Level 60

My spies have identified several astral projectors that Margrave Gharmal uses to rally his troops in the Stitchyard. I do not wish for a swarm of frenzied constructs to descend upon us during the final confrontation. Surely you see the wisdom in cutting their fervor.
