An OOX of Your Own

OOX-17/TN <- TN shows that it is in Tanaris
OOX-09/HL <- HL shows that it is in Hinterlands
OOX-22/FE <- FE shows that it is in Feralas

Want a chicken for vanity or big profits? You need to start by grabbing each of these:

[item=8704] from The Hinterlands (Personal stats: Killed some stalkers, some trolls, some owlbeasts (about 20 all told)... Then killed my first ooze at Skulk Rock, and it dropped)
[item=8623] from Tanaris (Personal stats: Went into Zul'Farrak like all other posters recommend, killed some twenty or thirty trolls and scarabs, and it dropped from one of the troll corpses)
[item=8705] from Feralas (Personal stats: As recommended by many other posters, Feral Scar Yetis - dropped on my first kill)

4. Yes these still drop in Mists of Pandaria.

6. Yes it can drop off ANY mob in the respective zone, however [item=8705] has the highest drop rate from [npc=5292] IF you haven't already done the quest.

8. It WILL eventually drop - some days RNG is your best friend, other days you want to repeatedly punch a kitten (or other obscenely fluffy creature) just to illustrate how cruel the universe can be.

In order to get this quest, you must have completed all the OOX escort quests in Tanaris (Find OOX-17/TN! -> Rescue OOX-17/TN!), Hinterlands (Find OOX-09/HL! -> Rescue OOX-09/HL!), and Feralas (Find OOX-22/FE! -> Rescue OOX-22/FE!).
